The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Milferio's goal looked a bit too open when Vaggelis Mitsiou came free, but Celso Javiar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Celso Javiar didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Simos Seretis went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Terry Jamieson couldn't finish the play. Carlo Taranto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Celso Javiar made a huge save. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Terry Jamieson to make the kick off. Gladiator FC made a substitution. Celso Javiar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. In the 89th match minute, Milferio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andrea Herrera to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carlo Taranto in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Celso Javiar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 92nd minute, Konstantin Butylin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gladiator FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-2. Elpidio Bilintx made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jonatan Iraitz in the 94th minute. In the 96th minute, Antonio Lovera ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Celso Javiar was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-2.
