The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, KS Olimpia Warszawa's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Mei came free, but Gigel Botescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ferdinand Zmărăndache received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Gigel Botescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 8 minutes into the game, KS Olimpia Warszawa's Damazy Joks nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lyle Coppack made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Lyle Coppack showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damazy Joks, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Gigel Botescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ediberto de Queirós in the 17th minute of play. In the 27th minute, Damazy Joks left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The KS Olimpia Warszawa fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. After 30 played minutes Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely got a freekick which was hit by Ferdinand Zmărăndache. In the 31st minute Carlos Mei shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gigel Botescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carlos Mei in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gigel Botescu saved KS Olimpia Warszawa from getting behind. KS Olimpia Warszawa's Gigel Botescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Mei in the 41st minute of play. Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely were awarded a corner in the 42th minute after KS Olimpia Warszawa's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Anacleto Geofredo took the corner. Patrik De Roost's late challenge caught a KS Olimpia Warszawa's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Patrik De Roost helped the player get up and apologised. Patrik De Roost kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely's Lyle Coppack played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damazy Joks in the 46th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Carlos Mei was the one to do the kick off. In the 63rd minute, Patrik De Roost hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lyle Coppack didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Damazy Joks went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely made a substitution. Adrián-Daniel Dobre replaced Carlos Mei. Adrián-Daniel Dobre might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gigel Botescu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Adrián-Daniel Dobre ran back to his position shaking his head. When KS Olimpia Warszawa's Damazy Joks in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The audience was convinced that Sharma Sharma's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lyle Coppack was relentless in the 98th minute of the game. When the match had gone on for 98 minutes, Sharma Sharma put it in 6-0 from a short distance just to the right of Lyle Coppack. For all the effort they put into the match, the Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for KS Olimpia Warszawa.
