Protegéerna's Petter Skarkman got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 17th match minute, Surahammar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Casemiro Joinvilense to maneuver through the defense. Surahammar's Jan Lindström proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Surahammar from getting a goal against them. In the 26th minute Radamel Oakley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bolo Skjold saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 26 minutes into the match, Protegéerna's goal looked a bit too open when Radamel Oakley came free, but Bolo Skjold reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Radamel Oakley in the 28th minute of play forced Protegéerna's goalkeeper Bolo Skjold to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Radamel Oakley scored 0-1 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bolo Skjold, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Protegéerna's Cosme Demesio quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Casemiro Joinvilense, made in the 32nd minute of the game. Bolo Skjold made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Markus Wallman in the 34th minute of play. When Protegéerna's Petter Skarkman in the 37th minute got a chance for a shot 37th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Jan Lindström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Petter Skarkman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half Surahammar were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Radamel Oakley made the kick off in the second half. Surahammar's Zlatan Lion was substituted for Toninho Lara. Surahammar's André Pettersson was substituted for Radamel Oakley. A collision led to Surahammar getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Adrian Kodzhabashev hit a great ball. 57 minutes into the match, Surahammar's goal looked a bit too open when Michael Näver came free, but Jan Lindström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Markus Wallman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Protegéerna's Jonny Ånger was substituted for Ossi Eloranta. Jan Lindström came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by Protegéerna's Petter Skarkman. But to his dismay, Petter Skarkman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Casemiro Joinvilense made in the 73rd minute of the game a quick throw-in and André Pettersson immediately put the ball in play. After 75 played minutes Protegéerna got a freekick which was hit by Arman Lingren. If André Pettersson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a little luck, Protegéerna's Bolo Skjold got control of the ball when André Pettersson tried to sneak it across the goal line.
