In the 17th minute, Jakob Lingren ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bernardo Raggio was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 21st minute, Judas Verón reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Daffa Haeruddin. The goal made the score 1-1. Bernardo Raggio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diamantino Brillante in the 24th minute of play. Judas Verón might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Daffa Haeruddin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Judas Verón ran back to his position shaking his head. Daffa Haeruddin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Judas Verón in the 26th minute. If Judas Verón had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Judas Verón could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Daffa Haeruddin made a huge save.
