In the 14th minute of the match Ángel Albirrojo got a corner. ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. The corner led Ángel Albirrojo's Erubiel Gonzalez to fire away a dangerous shot which Thomás Linares despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Lorenzo Lorenz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Remus Vermeşan in the 17th minute of play. After some careless play in the Ángel Albirrojo defense, Remus Vermeşan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lorenzo Lorenz. The Ángel Albirrojo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lorenzo Lorenz should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Siro Frances in the 19th minute of play forced ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s goalkeeper Thomás Linares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lorenzo Lorenz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sandu Gheorghiu in the 21st minute of the match. In the 27th minute, ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s Sandu Gheorghiu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Lorenzo Lorenz. After a defensive mix-up in Ángel Albirrojo's zone, Remus Vermeşan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lorenzo Lorenz came out of the goal and Remus Vermeşan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 35th minute, Victor Huștiu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ángel Albirrojo's Lorenzo Lorenz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sandu Gheorghiu in the 38th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcel Petculescu got free with Lorenzo Lorenz in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ángel Albirrojo's Lorenzo Lorenz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Ángel Albirrojo from getting a goal against them. Lorenzo Lorenz made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Sandu Gheorghiu sent off a good shot on target. Victor Huștiu's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Lorenzo Lorenz firmly grabbed it by the left post. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the referee ended the match the ASF BAIA MARE -MM- players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
