Denmark's Nils Elmhuus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elias Tharaldsen in the 18th minute of play. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Svend Betz made a kick off. Emil Berntzen's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Nils Elmhuus firmly grabbed it by the left post. Pål Bergmann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lenni Prehn in the 52nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Danny Grønnow in the 65th minute of play forced Norway's goalkeeper Pål Bergmann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Denmark made a substitution. Lasse Delvig replaced Danny Grønnow. Denmark's Martin Rana was substituted for Svend Betz. In the 95th minute, Ferdinand Tvete hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Norway's Pål Bergmann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martin Rana in the 96th minute of play. When Martin Rana, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 96 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Pål Bergmann was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar.
