The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The SCs StarS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Petr Čech should have stopped the shot. Petr Čech made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabio Onbera in the 7th minute of play. 9 minutes into the match, SITIO CITY's goal looked a bit too open when Thiago Gol came free, but Zé Gato reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Petr Čech came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by SITIO CITY's Carlos Garcia. But to his dismay, Carlos Garcia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. In the 18th minute, Carlos Garcia left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SITIO CITY fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Carlos Garcia might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Petr Čech. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Carlos Garcia ran back to his position shaking his head. Petr Čech made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Carlos Garcia sent off a good shot on target. 23 minutes into the game, Kajetan Paulista was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SITIO CITY's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SCs StarS the free kick. Petr Čech showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Garcia in the 27th minute of the match. Thiago Gol ran back to his position shaking his head. Henk Zijden made in the 38th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Thiago Gol immediately put the ball in play. A collision led to SCs StarS getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Edgar Reitsema hit a great ball. In the 42nd match minute, SCs StarS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robert de Graaf to maneuver through the defense. Rubim Jordão could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Petr Čech made a huge save. In the 44th minute, Wlodzimierz Kochanowski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. SITIO CITY's Zé Gato played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jordy Dirks in the 46th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Thiago Gol made a kick off. The supporters of SCs StarS booed when SITIO CITY was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pawel Czubski didn't get a good kick on the ball. SITIO CITY made a substitution. Pierre-Paul Swin replaced Chiquinho Pereira. SITIO CITY's Rubim Jordão was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Petr Čech in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Jordy Dirks fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Gato having to interfere. SCs StarS's Petr Čech played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Carvalho in the 71st minute of play. Luís Carvalho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Petr Čech having to interfere. 罗松棋 made in the 89th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by SITIO CITY's Jens-Erik Bryngelsson. After a rather tough play, SCs StarS's Matthijs Ebbinge got a free kick in the 90th minute. SITIO CITY's Luís Carvalho got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A throw-in in the 92nd minute of the game was made by Edgar Reitsema with Matthijs Ebbinge as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Edgar Reitsema made in the 94th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Matthijs Ebbinge immediately put the ball in play. SCs StarS's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
