Sokol Narev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jose-Manuel Jauregui in the 16th minute of play. 21 minutes into the match, Vetusta's goal looked a bit too open when Victor Blom came free, but Ray De Lauw reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 24th minute, Ascencio Quintas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vetusta fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 26th minute Ascencio Quintas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sokol Narev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Vetusta getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Lei Yuan Zheng hit a great ball. Ray De Lauw showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victor Blom in the 28th minute of the match. Victor Blom scored 1-1 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ray De Lauw, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. But to his dismay, Etxepare Gil quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Jose-Manuel Jauregui fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sokol Narev having to interfere. In the 47th minute, Ascencio Quintas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half Vetusta were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Victor Blom stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 61st minute Sunkens Surtröjor were awarded a corner. Laércio Coutinho went to the cornerflag to take it. It was a well-played corner which Frans Alström managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Sunkens Surtröjor made a substitution. Anton Galle replaced Victor Blom. Anton Galle's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ray De Lauw read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. Ray De Lauw showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anton Galle, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. 73 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Sunkens Surtröjor's Anton Galle fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. A collision led to Vetusta getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Iosu Toxeiro hit a great ball. In the 83rd minute of the game, Error Uchiha landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Nicolás Rua's late challenge caught a Sunkens Surtröjor's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nicolás Rua helped the player get up and apologised. Nicolás Rua hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Vetusta made a substitution. Marco Palomar replaced Ascencio Quintas. In the 84th minute, Nicolás Rua hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ray De Lauw took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anton Galle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ray De Lauw stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Anton Galle's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute. In the 94th minute, Iosu Toxeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Vetusta players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
