Galatasaray GS's attentive Freddie Sandström managed to snatch the ball when 贺星斐 made a throw-in in the 16th minute of the game. USM Alger-Union Sportive's 曲义昆 played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bo Tinglöv in the 19th minute of play. If 陈邦勇 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when 蒋锋翀 got free with Kurt Tham in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 蒋锋翀 received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Kurt Tham came out and tried to block the shot, but 蒋锋翀 slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 30th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when 曹鹏傲 got free with Kurt Tham in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 曲义昆 came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by Galatasaray GS's Freddie Sandström. But to his dismay, Freddie Sandström quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. 42 minutes into the match, USM Alger-Union Sportive's goal looked a bit too open when Freddie Sandström came free, but 曲义昆 reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. USM Alger-Union Sportive's 曲义昆 played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dan Åkesson in the 44th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Galatasaray GS's zone, 陈邦勇 stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kurt Tham came out of the goal and 陈邦勇 tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dan Åkesson made a kick off. 陈邦勇 kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. If Bo Tinglöv had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 57th minute, Dan Åkesson reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of 曲义昆. The goal made the score 1-3. After 61 played minutes Galatasaray GS got a freekick which was hit by Tom Skytt. 63 minutes into the match, Galatasaray GS's goal looked a bit too open when 龙鹰建 came free, but Kurt Tham reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Freddie Sandström took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised 曲义昆. 曲义昆 dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. 70 minutes into the match, Galatasaray GS's goal looked a bit too open when 蒋锋翀 came free, but Kurt Tham reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 74th minute, 孔适朗 hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by 贺星斐 in the 84th minute of play forced Galatasaray GS's goalkeeper Kurt Tham to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kurt Tham showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 曹鹏傲 in the 86th minute of the match. Freddie Sandström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 曲义昆 having to interfere. 陈邦勇 kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Dan Åkesson struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. 曲义昆 didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Galatasaray GS. 96 minutes into the game, 陈邦勇 was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. USM Alger-Union Sportive's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Galatasaray GS the free kick. After a rather tough play, USM Alger-Union Sportive's 陈邦勇 got a free kick in the 96th minute. Galatasaray GS's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
