Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Vilgot Brander started the match with the kick off. Beppe Silveri recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Semihioo FC's Axel Borre got a free kick in the 4th minute. Amerigo Del Grosso scored 0-1 in the 5th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eddie Eklund, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Eddie Eklund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amerigo Del Grosso in the 16th minute of play. Ernesto Bergamini hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Burundi's Felice Del Greco got control of the ball when Börge Skoglund tried to sneak it across the goal line. Vilgot Brander received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Felice Del Greco came out and tried to block the shot, but Vilgot Brander slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 20th minute. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Semihioo FC's goalkeeper Eddie Eklund, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Amerigo Del Grosso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 30th minute, Arturo Trentini left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Burundi fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Axel Borre during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 32nd minute, Axel Borre hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Semihioo FC were furious when Magnus Jonasson was red carded, 34 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 34 minutes into the game, one of Semihioo FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Burundi a penalty, 37 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Fulvio Burgnich, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Semihioo FC's Eddie Eklund. 1-4. Amerigo Del Grosso took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eddie Eklund. Eddie Eklund dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-5. In the 46th match minute, Burundi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anthony Marzoli to maneuver through the defense. A long shot from Nils Hjeltman in the 47th minute of play was well struck, but Felice Del Greco made a really good save at the right post. The Semihioo FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Burundi were winning 1-5.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Amerigo Del Grosso was the one to do the kick off. Arturo Trentini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eddie Eklund having to interfere. The supporters of Burundi booed when Semihioo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hannes Finnman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arturo Trentini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eddie Eklund having to interfere. 55 minutes into the game, Hannes Finnman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Semihioo FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Burundi the free kick. A collision led to Semihioo FC getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Hannes Finnman hit a great ball. Ernesto Bergamini received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Eddie Eklund tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 61 minutes, Börge Skoglund managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Semihioo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Börge Skoglund was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Felice Del Greco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hans Jansson, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. When the match had gone on for 67 minutes, Arturo Trentini took a quick shot and it went in 1-6 without a chance for Eddie Eklund to make any attempt to save it. Felice Del Greco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Börge Skoglund in the 73rd minute of the match. If Amerigo Del Grosso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Semihioo FC getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Jens-Ola Lundberg hit a great ball. Amerigo Del Grosso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Eddie Eklund tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 90th minute, Hannes Finnman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Semihioo FC's Eddie Eklund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernesto Bergamini in the 95th minute of play.
