In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind Semihioo FC's goalkeeper Eddie Eklund, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Kurt Tham showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vilgot Brander, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. 8 minutes into the match, Semihioo FC's goalkeeper Eddie Eklund had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bo Tinglöv. In the 16th match minute, Galatasaray GS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tom Skytt to maneuver through the defense. Tom Skytt kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. After having played for 21 minutes, Bo Tinglöv managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Galatasaray GS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bo Tinglöv was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kurt Tham dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 33 minutes into the game, Hannes Finnman cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Kurt Tham was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 37 minutes of play, Semihioo FC's Vilgot Brander made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kurt Tham was left in no man's land by his defense there! Kurt Tham made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Börge Skoglund in the 40th minute of play. In the 42nd minute, Freddie Sandström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half Semihioo FC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vilgot Brander was the one to do the kick off. Axel Borre sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thor Kellman kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Börge Skoglund got free with Kurt Tham in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 61st minute, Vilgot Brander ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kurt Tham was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. A hard shot 74 in the game by Börge Skoglund from a close distance when the talented Kurt Tham managed to make a qualified save. Galatasaray GS's players were relieved. Galatasaray GS's defense didn't have a chance, in the 78th minute, when Vilgot Brander scored to the left of an out of position Kurt Tham, making the score, 0-6. After a rather tough play, Semihioo FC's Axel Borre got a free kick in the 84th minute. Kurt Tham yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-8.
