Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) In the 3rd minute, Burundi's Fortunato Trinca seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Fortunato Trinca the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Burundi protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Fortunato Trinca had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 2nd minute of the game. One of Burundi:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Artres:s goal. Felice Del Greco didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Johnny Borg went, in the 4th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. When Arturo Trentini came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Burundi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arturo Trentini couldn't finish the play. A hard shot 13 in the game by Gilbert Caussade from a close distance when the talented Felice Del Greco managed to make a qualified save. Burundi's players were relieved. A collision led to Burundi getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Amerigo Del Grosso hit a great ball. After 19 played minutes, Artres's Johnny Borg shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Felice Del Greco came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Artres reached it. Arturo Trentini received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Flavien Cardot tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 22 minutes into the game, Gilbert Caussade lined in a short shot 2-0 behind a frustrated Felice Del Greco. Flavien Cardot stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arturo Trentini's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. After 31 minutes of play, Artres's Gilbert Caussade made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Felice Del Greco was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 37th match minute, Artres was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daryl Le Roux to maneuver through the defense. Arturo Trentini's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Flavien Cardot read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. 45 minutes into the game, Daryl Le Roux threw the ball into play from the sideline. Burundi's Camillo Alberico quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tom Bonnardel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arturo Trentini in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Flavien Cardot saved Artres from getting behind. Arturo Trentini struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Flavien Cardot didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Burundi. In the 58th minute of the match Burundi got a corner. Artres's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Fulvio Burgnich ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 60th minute, Daryl Le Roux hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jean-Baptiste Gallice got a throw-in 62 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Mohamed-Ali Wisniewski. Felice Del Greco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tom Bonnardel in the 63rd minute of play. If Arturo Trentini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 69 played minutes Burundi got a freekick which was hit by Camillo Alberico. After 70 played minutes, Artres's Johnny Borg shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Felice Del Greco came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arturo Trentini in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Flavien Cardot prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The corner led Artres's Tom Bonnardel to fire away a dangerous shot which Felice Del Greco despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 85th play minutes Gilbert Caussade shot 4-0, a short shot which went by Felice Del Greco and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 91st minute, Beppe Silveri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee blew the final whistle, Artres could leave the field as winners, despite Burundi having more of the ball for most of the match.
