If Vilgot Brander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roberto Cainzos's late challenge caught a Semihioo FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Roberto Cainzos helped the player get up and apologised. After 27 played minutes Valdarachas SAD got a freekick which was hit by Roberto Cainzos. Valdarachas SAD's Angel Yeste played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Börge Skoglund in the 28th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Semihioo FC's Magnus Jonasson got a free kick in the 31st minute. When Saturnin Iglesias came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Valdarachas SAD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Saturnin Iglesias couldn't finish the play. After having played for 36 minutes, Saturnin Iglesias managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Valdarachas SAD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Saturnin Iglesias was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Angel Yeste showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vilgot Brander, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Angel Yeste showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Perrando Ponte stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 50 minutes, Arsenio Verdaguer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Valdarachas SAD and the Semihioo FC players grew even worse after the yellow card.
