After 11 minutes, Douglas Almqvist mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Malmo and the Nikoo Fc players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 11 played minutes Malmo got a freekick which was hit by Douglas Almqvist. Pelle Åberg kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Inge Hedberg came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Malmo's Per-Oskar Ahlstedt. But to his dismay, Per-Oskar Ahlstedt quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. In the 24thth minute of the game Per-Oskar Ahlstedt who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Nikoo Fc's Inge Hedberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Per-Oskar Ahlstedt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Nikoo Fc's zone, Per-Oskar Ahlstedt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Inge Hedberg came out of the goal and Per-Oskar Ahlstedt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Simon Fanström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sakarias Pihlwall in the 35th minute of the match. After 37 played minutes Malmo got a freekick which was hit by Gilbert Adelsköld. Alfred Groth received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Simon Fanström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 44 minutes into the game, Malmo's Petter Biörkman nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Inge Hedberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-5 lead.

The supporters of Malmo booed when Nikoo Fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pelle Åberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Douglas Almqvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Inge Hedberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Per-Oskar Ahlstedt's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Malmo's Per-Oskar Ahlstedt slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Inge Hedberg. That made the score 0-6 after 63 minutes of play. Inge Hedberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Per-Oskar Ahlstedt's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. Sakarias Pihlwall's late challenge caught a Malmo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nikoo Fc's Inge Hedberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Per-Oskar Ahlstedt in the 85th minute of play. Alex Hultman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Inge Hedberg was out of position in the 89 minute of play, and Per-Oskar Ahlstedt capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Per-Oskar Ahlstedt really showed his touch with that goal: 0-8. Fredrik Holmberg kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Malmo's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
