The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Felix Hepsø had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 6 played minutes Kalsvik got a freekick which was hit by Christer Lee. After 7 played minutes, Semihioo FC's Magnus Jonasson shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Stian Teigen came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Semihioo FC reached it. Eddie Eklund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paul Pilskog, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Vilgot Brander recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 18th minute Jon-Arne Svarstad shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eddie Eklund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hauk Aaberg kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. 26 minutes into the match, Vilgot Brander notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Kalsvik's Stian Teigen. Stian Teigen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Eddie Eklund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felix Hepsø, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Axel Borre charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Axel Borre the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Eddie Eklund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felix Hepsø in the 32nd minute of play. 37 minutes into the game, Kalsvik's Felix Hepsø nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eddie Eklund made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Jon-Arne Svarstad scored 1-2 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eddie Eklund, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Eilert Bang fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kalsvik's protests and gave Eilert Bang a yellow card for diving instead. After 45 played minutes Kalsvik got a freekick which was hit by Eilert Bang.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jon-Arne Svarstad made a kick off. Paul Pilskog's late challenge caught a Semihioo FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paul Pilskog helped the player get up and apologised. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eirik Svenning during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. With a little luck, Semihioo FC's Eddie Eklund got control of the ball when Paul Pilskog tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Börge Skoglund in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stian Teigen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Stian Teigen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Börge Skoglund's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. Hannes Finnman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stian Teigen having to interfere. In the 93rd minute, Kalsvik's Jon-Arne Svarstad ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Eddie Eklund. Eddie Eklund yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-4. A hard shot 96 in the game by Felix Hepsø from a close distance when the talented Eddie Eklund managed to make a qualified save. Semihioo FC's players were relieved. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Kalsvik had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
