A collision led to Barbas y Cosos getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Tercero Pradias hit a great ball. Graeme Farrow sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Koldobika Villagomez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 30th match minute, Barbas y Cosos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maore Jimeno to maneuver through the defense. In the 33rd minute, Graeme Farrow left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Scarborough AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. A collision led to Barbas y Cosos getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Aztore Ortubia hit a great ball. The Scarborough AFC fans' excitement grew in the 39th match minute when Scarborough AFC's Vince Burgess looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eriberto Hortiz to make the kick off. Scarborough AFC's Shane Portway played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tercero Pradias in the 52nd minute of play. 54 minutes into the game, Maore Jimeno was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Barbas y Cosos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Scarborough AFC the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in Barbas y Cosos fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 54th minute. Penalty! Shane Portway took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tercero Pradias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 61 minutes into the match, Scarborough AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Eriberto Hortiz came free, but Shane Portway reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Barbas y Cosos's defense didn't have a chance, in the 62nd minute, when Gez Hassell scored to the left of an out of position Koldobika Villagomez, making the score, 0-5. When the match had gone on for 65 minutes, Vince Burgess took a quick shot and it went in 0-6 without a chance for Koldobika Villagomez to make any attempt to save it. In the 68th minute, Vince Burgess left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Scarborough AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-7. The supporters of Barbas y Cosos booed when Scarborough AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Graeme Farrow didn't get a good kick on the ball. Barbas y Cosos made a substitution. Santo Candana replaced Guipuzkoa Varsana. Graeme Farrow hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. After having played for 78 minutes, Santo Candana managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Barbas y Cosos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Santo Candana was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Barbas y Cosos's Tercero Pradias got a free kick in the 80th minute. Shane Portway showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aztore Ortubia in the 86th minute of the match. Koldobika Villagomez was a little too slow when Vince Burgess got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 87th minute. The score was now 0-8. When Santo Candana fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Barbas y Cosos's protests and gave Santo Candana a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Scarborough AFC booed when Barbas y Cosos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aztore Ortubia didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 95th minute, Aztore Ortubia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Tercero Pradias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Scarborough AFC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
