The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 11 minutes into the game, one of Nova Iguaçu MZFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Memphis Xande placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Silvinho Gaúcho made an important save on a dangerous shot by Telmo Barbosa in the 22nd minute. Giuseppe Lara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xande Gol, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. 29 minutes into the game, New Joinville - FSCMZ's Haroldo Tepedino nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Xande Gol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giuseppe Lara having to interfere. 60 minutes into the match, New Joinville - FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Telmo Barbosa came free, but Silvinho Gaúcho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Giuseppe Lara proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Nova Iguaçu MZFC from getting a goal against them. New Joinville - FSCMZ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. In the 92nd minute, Silvério Rossi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
