Francisco Alagoano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xande Gol, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. In the 21st minute Jo Calleri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvinho Gaúcho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Silvinho Gaúcho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jo Calleri in the 22nd minute of play. Palmares Futebol Clube's Francisco Alagoano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Palmares Futebol Clube from getting a goal against them. 26 minutes into the game, Jo Calleri cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Silvinho Gaúcho was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Haroldo Tepedino got free with Francisco Alagoano in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

New Joinville - FSCMZ's Memphis Xande managed to work through Palmares Futebol Clube's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Memphis Xande dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Haroldo Lopes kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. New Joinville - FSCMZ's Silvinho Gaúcho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save New Joinville - FSCMZ from getting a goal against them.
