The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Pawel Makarewicz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Haroldo Romelio in the 2nd minute of the match. Guillermo Mincho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cliff Gordon in the 5th minute of play. Andrea Strano made a great header on Parma Wanderers's corner, it was just that Pierna fuerte F.C's Guillermo Mincho managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 13th minute of the match, Haroldo Romelio tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Pawel Makarewicz saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After a rather tough play, Pierna fuerte F.C's Anacleto Maura got a free kick in the 15th minute. In the 16th minute, Damian Thurman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 22 played minutes Parma Wanderers got a freekick which was hit by Danny Hallam. Pierna fuerte F.C's Maximiliano Lope got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Parma Wanderers's Pawel Makarewicz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Parma Wanderers from getting a goal against them. In the 26th match minute, Parma Wanderers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Doroteo Bernal to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice moves Anacleto Maura could shoot a difficult shot in the 28th minute, which Pawel Makarewicz however easily saved by the left post. Guillermo Mincho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cliff Gordon, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Damian Thurman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With an all-out effort, Pierna fuerte F.C's Pawel Makarewicz threw himself towards the right post 46 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Haroldo Romelio, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cliff Gordon to make the kick off. Doroteo Bernal made in the 51st minute of the game a quick throw-in and Charlie Monk immediately put the ball in play. Charlie Monk's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Guillermo Mincho read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. Anacleto Maura fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pawel Makarewicz having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Cliff Gordon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Parma Wanderers's supporters rose to their feet, but Cliff Gordon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Guillermo Mincho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Haroldo Romelio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 66 minutes into the game, Henry Warne was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Parma Wanderers's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pierna fuerte F.C the free kick. In the 66th match minute, Parma Wanderers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Henry Warne to maneuver through the defense. In the 67th minute Haroldo Romelio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pawel Makarewicz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Parma Wanderers's Rio Fuller was substituted for Damian Thurman. Parma Wanderers's Russ Hunter was substituted for Cliff Gordon. Pawel Makarewicz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Haroldo Romelio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 84 minutes into the match, Pierna fuerte F.C's goalkeeper Guillermo Mincho had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Russ Hunter. Pawel Makarewicz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eustacio Admon, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Parma Wanderers's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by George Munroe in the 93rd minute. It was a well-played corner which Johnnie Walker managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Pierna fuerte F.C's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
