Maximiliano Todor kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Almir Perez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpected shot in the 11th minute by Asım Erseven got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Almir Perez in the 13th minute of play forced Deportivo Mukenio's goalkeeper Ruben Benvido to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 13 minutes into the match, Almir Perez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ruben Benvido. Deportivo Mukenio's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Almir Perez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Deportivo Mukenio's Ruben Benvido played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Almir Perez in the 16th minute of play. In the 18th match minute, Deportivo Mukenio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enrique Cheche to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristo Bermudo in the 32nd minute of play forced SANTOS F.C's goalkeeper Antonio Swiderski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Antonio Swiderski stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cristo Bermudo's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. Almir Perez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruben Benvido having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Asım Erseven managed to get in a good position for a shot. SANTOS F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Asım Erseven was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ruben Benvido breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Maximiliano Todor fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Deportivo Mukenio's protests and gave Maximiliano Todor a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Deportivo Mukenio getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Maximiliano Todor hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristo Bermudo in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Antonio Swiderski prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 47 played minutes SANTOS F.C got a freekick which was hit by Igor Gaspar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cristo Bermudo to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Maximiliano Todor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 55th minute Asım Erseven shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruben Benvido saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Asım Erseven had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 63 minutes into the match, Deportivo Mukenio's goal looked a bit too open when Asım Erseven came free, but Ruben Benvido reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ruben Benvido showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Almir Perez in the 70th minute of the match. When Almir Perez came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the SANTOS F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Almir Perez couldn't finish the play. After 74 played minutes Deportivo Mukenio got a freekick which was hit by Maximiliano Todor. Deportivo Mukenio's Desiderio Bieito got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cristo Bermudos short, quick shot in the 83rdth minute got Antonio Swiderski to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Asım Erseven received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Ruben Benvido tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 90th minute, Maximiliano Todor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Almir Perez in the 96th minute of play forced Deportivo Mukenio's goalkeeper Ruben Benvido to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The SANTOS F.C fans cheered their team off the field, for while Deportivo Mukenio had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
