Antonio Swiderski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eusebiu Daraban, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eusebiu Daraban took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Antonio Swiderski. Antonio Swiderski dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In a very dangerous position, a player in THE CRYSTAL SHIP fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 14th minute. Penalty! SANTOS F.C's Antonio Swiderski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Codruț Turcescu in the 18th minute of play. In the 19thth minute of the game Remus Agudaru who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SANTOS F.C's Antonio Swiderski was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. THE CRYSTAL SHIP's Remus Agudaru got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dan Eftimiu scored 2-2 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Antonio Swiderski, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Remus Agudaru in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Antonio Swiderski prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Luiz Galvão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Avram Nițoi having to interfere. The THE CRYSTAL SHIP fans' excitement grew in the 29th match minute when THE CRYSTAL SHIP's Remus Agudaru looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 33 minutes of play, THE CRYSTAL SHIP's Codruț Turcescu made it 2-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Antonio Swiderski was left in no man's land by his defense there! SANTOS F.C's Antonio Swiderski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Remus Agudaru in the 36th minute of play. Gilmar Guerra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Avram Nițoi having to interfere. With a little luck, THE CRYSTAL SHIP's Avram Nițoi got control of the ball when Richard Magalhães tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 43 minutes, Remus Agudaru made it 2-5 with a short kick to the right side. SANTOS F.C's Antonio Swiderski tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Luiz Galvão's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Avram Nițoi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. After the first half THE CRYSTAL SHIP were leading 2-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Antonio Swiderski was a little too slow when Eusebiu Daraban got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 50th minute. The score was now 2-6. An unexpectedly hard shot by Igor Gaspar in the 54th minute of play forced THE CRYSTAL SHIP's goalkeeper Avram Nițoi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Costel Teodor fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored THE CRYSTAL SHIP's protests and gave Costel Teodor a yellow card for diving instead. In the 55th minute, Costel Teodor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 56 minutes, Ilie Romoşan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the THE CRYSTAL SHIP and the SANTOS F.C players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to THE CRYSTAL SHIP getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Ilie Romoşan hit a great ball. A hard shot 61 in the game by Remus Agudaru from a close distance when the talented Antonio Swiderski managed to make a qualified save. SANTOS F.C's players were relieved. Eusebiu Daraban received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Antonio Swiderski came out and tried to block the shot, but Eusebiu Daraban slotted it home off the left post making it 2-7 in the 66th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Remus Agudaru in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Antonio Swiderski saved SANTOS F.C from getting behind. In the 72ndth minute of the game Remus Agudaru who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SANTOS F.C's Antonio Swiderski was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Remus Agudaru got free with Antonio Swiderski in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Codruț Turcescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
