After 5 minutes, Ennio Scafati mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Zola Predosa FC and the Deportivo Medievales players grew even worse after the yellow card. Valentin Benitez hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. During the 8th minute of the match Ennio Scafati completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Ennio Scafati a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of Deportivo Medievales booed when Zola Predosa FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ennio Scafati didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 13th minute, Anselmo Stragapede hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Davide De Paolis hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. After 22 played minutes, Deportivo Medievales's Norberto Santana shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Anselmo Felli came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Deportivo Medievales reached it. Gualterio Niguel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Anselmo Felli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 29 minutes into the match, Zola Predosa FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gualterio Niguel came free, but Anselmo Felli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Anselmo Felli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mario Lauaxeta, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Zola Predosa FC's Anselmo Felli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gualterio Niguel in the 41st minute of play. After 43 played minutes Deportivo Medievales got a freekick which was hit by Norberto Santana. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Claudio Ruggeri managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zola Predosa FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Claudio Ruggeri was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Atilano Pirmin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Zola Predosa FC's Bianco Ricci got a free kick in the 47th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Claudio Ruggeri was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Deportivo Medievales booed when Zola Predosa FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudio Ruggeri didn't get a good kick on the ball. With his leg Anselmo Felli managed to avoid a goal in the 57thth minute, when Deportivo Medievales's Gualterio Niguel fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Claudio Ruggeri recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gualterio Niguel who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 67thth minute tested the skills of Anselmo Felli when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Davide De Paolis in the 69th minute of play forced Deportivo Medievales's goalkeeper Atilano Pirmin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Davide De Paolis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Atilano Pirmin having to interfere. Atilano Pirmin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Davide De Paolis in the 74th minute of the match. Zola Predosa FC's Claudio Ruggeri got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Gualterio Niguel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Anselmo Felli managed to avoid a goal in the 95thth minute, when Deportivo Medievales's Gualterio Niguel fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Davide De Paolis hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Zola Predosa FC were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
