Nadzieja Speed Elblag's Teun Gierman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matías de Moraes in the 19th minute of play. Bart Koekkoek's late challenge caught a S.C. Corinthians Paulista's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bart Koekkoek helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of S.C. Corinthians Paulista booed when Nadzieja Speed Elblag was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. After having played for 32 minutes, Diego da Cunha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. S.C. Corinthians Paulista's supporters crossed their fingers, but Diego da Cunha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Teun Gierman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Alagoano in the 34th minute of play. With a little luck, Nadzieja Speed Elblag's Teun Gierman got control of the ball when Matías de Moraes tried to sneak it across the goal line. With his leg Teun Gierman managed to avoid a goal in the 39thth minute, when S.C. Corinthians Paulista's Diego da Cunha fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Matías de Moraes's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 43rdth minute, Teun Gierman skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Frank dos Santos kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

After 53 played minutes Nadzieja Speed Elblag got a freekick which was hit by Ernst Meppelink. After 54 played minutes, S.C. Corinthians Paulista's Adalberto Veloso shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Teun Gierman came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in S.C. Corinthians Paulista reached it. In the 58th match minute, Nadzieja Speed Elblag was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Johan Heuving to maneuver through the defense. In the 59th minute of the match Adalberto Veloso sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Teun Gierman skillfully saved the ball. In the 62nd minute, Pim van Gaal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Matías de Moraes hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Teun Gierman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matías de Moraes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Matthijs Heinen's late challenge caught a S.C. Corinthians Paulista. 84 minutes into the match, Nadzieja Speed Elblag's goal looked a bit too open when Matías de Moraes came free, but Teun Gierman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Nadzieja Speed Elblag booed when S.C. Corinthians Paulista was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. S.C. Corinthians Paulista fully deserved thier win.
