The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 39thth minute of the game Erubiel Evangelista who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Nadzieja Speed Elblag's Emil Roelofs was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Erubiel Evangelista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emil Roelofs having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Erubiel Evangelista's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Emil Roelofs was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Andy Scholte stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Emil Roelofs stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Erubiel Evangelista's shot from short distance in the 59th minute.
