The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ's Mehmet Efe Vefik got a free kick in the 13th minute. Pawel Jaroszewicz kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. When Asım Arif Yarkın fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ's protests and gave Asım Arif Yarkın a yellow card for diving instead. After a defensive mix-up in Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ's zone, Jerzy Rukszcz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Şemsettin Tanaltay came out of the goal and Jerzy Rukszcz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pankracy Mlekodaj received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Şemsettin Tanaltay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 25 played minutes KS Tęcza got a freekick which was hit by Pawel Jaroszewicz. Umut Ortun hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. A collision led to Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Mahmut Alkım hit a great ball. KS Tęcza's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Waldemar Puch in the 32nd minute. After taking down the ball on KS Tęcza's corner Waldemar Puch fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Şemsettin Tanaltay quite easily take care of the ball. In the 34th minute Pankracy Mlekodaj shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Şemsettin Tanaltay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 38 played minutes Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ got a freekick which was hit by Doğuş Baykan. Thanks to some nice moves Jerzy Rukszcz could shoot a difficult shot in the 41st minute, which Şemsettin Tanaltay however easily saved by the left post. Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Pawel Jaroszewicz 42 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 3-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mehmet Efe Vefik stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ's goal looked a bit too open when Bogumil Witek came free, but Şemsettin Tanaltay reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ's Doğuş Baykan got a free kick in the 62nd minute. 65 minutes into the match, Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ's goal looked a bit too open when Bogumil Witek came free, but Şemsettin Tanaltay reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Şemsettin Tanaltay made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ's Şemsettin Tanaltay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pawel Jaroszewicz in the 71st minute of play. Jerzy Rukszcz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Şemsettin Tanaltay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jerzy Rukszcz in the 78th minute of play forced Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ's goalkeeper Şemsettin Tanaltay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 80 minutes into the match, Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ's goal looked a bit too open when Jerzy Rukszcz came free, but Şemsettin Tanaltay reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gwidon Mudry during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 82nd match minute, KS Tęcza was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gwidon Mudry to maneuver through the defense. In the 85th minute Pankracy Mlekodaj shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Şemsettin Tanaltay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
