Túlio Maravilha's late challenge caught a THE CLUB's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Túlio Maravilha helped the player get up and apologised. After 3 played minutes Estrela Solitária got a freekick which was hit by Túlio Maravilha. After 7 played minutes Estrela Solitária got a freekick which was hit by Walmyr Mendes. The audience cheered when Antonio Zagorski's long shot passed Anselmi Saksinen's right side. It was 1-0, 8 minutes into the match. Túlio Maravilha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Volodya Latev came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Estrela Solitária's Túlio Maravilha. But to his dismay, Túlio Maravilha quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After 19 minutes, Meng Ran mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Estrela Solitária and the THE CLUB players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 19th match minute, Estrela Solitária was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Meng Ran to maneuver through the defense. 20 minutes into the match, Estrela Solitária's goal looked a bit too open when Ilko Madzhov came free, but Anselmi Saksinen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 24 minutes into the game, Estrela Solitária's Túlio Maravilha nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Volodya Latev made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. After some careless play in the THE CLUB defense, Ruud Gullit kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Volodya Latev. The THE CLUB fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Volodya Latev should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ruud Gullit in the 33rd minute of play forced THE CLUB's goalkeeper Volodya Latev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Grigor Dimitrov hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. 37 minutes into the match, Túlio Maravilha notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of THE CLUB's Volodya Latev. Volodya Latev was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Estrela Solitária's Túlio Maravilha in the 41st minute got a chance for a shot 41st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ruud Gullit stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, THE CLUB's goal looked a bit too open when Ruud Gullit came free, but Volodya Latev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rogério do Valle kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Estrela Solitária's Adalberto Campidelis got a free kick in the 59th minute. In the 60th minute, Antonio Zagorski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Anselmi Saksinen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yanaki Karaganchev, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Volodya Latev was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Túlio Maravilha showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-5 in the 69 minute of play. After 77 played minutes Estrela Solitária got a freekick which was hit by Ruud Gullit. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nano Ginev in the 81st minute of play forced Estrela Solitária's goalkeeper Anselmi Saksinen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in THE CLUB's zone, Túlio Maravilha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Volodya Latev came out of the goal and Túlio Maravilha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Anselmi Saksinen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yanaki Karaganchev in the 91st minute of play. In the 93rd minute, Joélson Carvalho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 94 minutes of play, THE CLUB's Nano Ginev made it 3-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Anselmi Saksinen was left in no man's land by his defense there! 97 minutes into the game, Ruud Gullit recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Volodya Latev. Ruud Gullit showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-6. Although THE CLUB had been in control for most of the match, Estrela Solitária still came away with the win.
