With an all-out effort, Saint Côme de Fresné's Fabien Gury threw himself towards the right post 11 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Guillaume Barillot, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Perthes United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Saint Côme de Fresné the free kick. The supporters of Saint Côme de Fresné booed when Perthes United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maël Négrel didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Saint Côme de Fresné's zone, Élie Loiret stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Noël Clenet came out of the goal and Élie Loiret tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Noël Clenet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gwendal Ayache, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Maël Négrel kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Guillaume Barillot's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fabien Gury was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. In the 39th minute, Maël Négrel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Noël Clenet was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. After 47 minutes, Salomon Bertholet mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Perthes United and the Saint Côme de Fresné players grew even worse after the yellow card. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Noël Clenet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gwendal Ayache in the 53rd minute of play. The supporters of Perthes United booed when Saint Côme de Fresné was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olivier Barnier didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gwendal Ayache blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Noël Clenet having to make a save. With a little luck, Saint Côme de Fresné's Noël Clenet got control of the ball when Maël Négrel tried to sneak it across the goal line. Simon Mertz's late challenge caught a Perthes United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Simon Mertz helped the player get up and apologised. Gwendal Ayache could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Noël Clenet made a huge save. Guillaume Barillot received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Fabien Gury tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 96th minute, Thibaut Abeille ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fabien Gury was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-5. The Perthes United players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
