When Jesper Håkansson came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the S.C. Potentia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jesper Håkansson couldn't finish the play. 8 minutes into the match, Tirense F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Valdemar Seabra came free, but Enéas Arruda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fernando Waterreus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Enéas Arruda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ruud Schokkenbroek kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. 17 minutes into the game, Alberto Abraão was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tirense F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave S.C. Potentia the free kick. After a rather tough play, Tirense F.C.'s Alberto Abraão got a free kick in the 17th minute. In the 18thth minute of the game Fernando Waterreus who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tirense F.C.'s Enéas Arruda was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Enéas Arruda made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fernando Waterreus in the 21st minute. S.C. Potentia's attentive Ruud Schokkenbroek managed to snatch the ball when João Augusto Maciel made a throw-in in the 24th minute of the game. Ruud Schokkenbroek hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. If Willian Cunha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 30 minutes into the match, S.C. Potentia's goal looked a bit too open when Willian Cunha came free, but Naci Ünüvar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as S.C. Potentia's Fernando Waterreus slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Enéas Arruda. That made the score 1-0 after 34 minutes of play. In the 37th minute, Sílvio Moura hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gregor Ranzijn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 43rd minute Valdemar Seabra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enéas Arruda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 45 played minutes Tirense F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Dida Vidal. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Enéas Arruda came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by S.C. Potentia's Gregor Ranzijn. But to his dismay, Gregor Ranzijn quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Ruud Schokkenbroek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Enéas Arruda stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fernando Waterreus's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. After a rather tough play, S.C. Potentia's Vincent Veenema got a free kick in the 76th minute. 77 minutes into the match, Alberto Abraão sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Naci Ünüvar threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Alberto Abraão this time. Fernando Waterreus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fernando Waterreus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enéas Arruda having to interfere. After 85 played minutes S.C. Potentia got a freekick which was hit by Vincent Veenema. Jesper Håkansson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gregor Ranzijn in the 92nd minute of play forced Tirense F.C.'s goalkeeper Enéas Arruda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Tirense F.C. getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Willian Cunha hit a great ball.
