The audience thought a goal was coming when Corryn Bolt got free with Naci Ünüvar in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 8th match minute, Chinho FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Paulo Borges to maneuver through the defense. Fernando Waterreus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Gilson de Alcântara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gregor Ranzijn kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zé Paraense in the 13th minute of play forced S.C. Potentia's goalkeeper Naci Ünüvar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 16th minute, Corryn Bolt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luiz Pitta could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Naci Ünüvar made a huge save. If Fernando Waterreus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 28th match minute, S.C. In the 39th minute of the game Leandro Vieira made a throw-in which Corryn Bolt played forward. S.C. Potentia's Naci Ünüvar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zé Paraense in the 42nd minute of play. In the 45th minute, João Paulo Borges hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
