After 3 minutes of play, Catugi FC's Nando de Alcântara made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. William Svanér was left in no man's land by his defense there! William Svanér took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nando de Alcântara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Manfred Hybbert during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 12th match minute, Boca Juniors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manfred Hybbert to maneuver through the defense. 13 minutes into the match, Nando de Alcântara had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of William Svanér. Boca Juniors's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nando de Alcântara was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. William Svanér showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reginaldo Veiga in the 17th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nando de Alcântara in the 18th minute of play forced Boca Juniors's goalkeeper William Svanér to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Boca Juniors's William Svanér played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nando de Alcântara in the 20th minute of play. Luiz Fernando Abraão might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over William Svanér. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luiz Fernando Abraão ran back to his position shaking his head. Luiz Fernando Abraão recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 25 minutes into the match, Dudu Borges notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Boca Juniors's William Svanér. William Svanér was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. William Svanér made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dudu Borges in the 28th minute of play. 29 minutes into the match, Boca Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Nando de Alcântara came free, but William Svanér reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. William Svanér took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Fernando Abraão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Boca Juniors's zone, Nando de Alcântara stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. William Svanér came out of the goal and Nando de Alcântara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 35 minutes of play, Catugi FC's Nando de Alcântara made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. William Svanér was left in no man's land by his defense there! 39 minutes into the game, Dudu Borges cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. William Svanér was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Hernani Travassos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without William Svanér having to interfere. In the 45th minute, Nando de Alcântara ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. William Svanér was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. The Boca Juniors players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Catugi FC were winning 0-6.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Roger Tunberg to make the kick off. William Svanér showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dudu Borges in the 53rd minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Catugi FC's Dudu Borges slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of William Svanér. That made the score 0-8 after 62 minutes of play. Marcel Travassos received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. William Svanér came out and tried to block the shot, but Marcel Travassos slotted it home off the left post making it 0-9 in the 65th minute. In the 71st minute Nando de Alcântara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but William Svanér saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Nando de Alcântara kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving William Svanér. That made the score 0-10 in the 72 minute of play. When the match had gone on for 76 minutes, Nando de Alcântara put it in 0-11 from a short distance just to the right of William Svanér. William Svanér was a little too slow when Dudu Borges got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 79th minute. The score was now 0-12. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hernani Travassos in the 82nd minute of play forced Boca Juniors's goalkeeper William Svanér to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. William Svanér was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Hernani Travassos showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-13 in the 86 minute of play. Catugi FC played a much better game than Boca Juniors and deserved their victory. The Boca Juniors players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
