Spectators: 7534 (Terracing: 5652, Seating: 1732, VIP seats: 150) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Romualdas Podėris started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute, Simonas Balčys hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bo-Erik Springfält recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Roy Bennet recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Laurynas Šarkauskas kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Valdas Tindžiulis made in the 27th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Protegéerna's Rikard Lindgren. Fredrik Billberg kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Roy Bennet blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Svajūnas Božys having to make a save. Savage Hippo's Svajūnas Božys played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roy Bennet in the 37th minute of play. 40 minutes into the match, Protegéerna's Roy Bennet sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Svajūnas Božys narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Georg Vallin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romualdas Podėris in the 43rd minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

In the 53rdth minute of the game Roy Bennet who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Savage Hippo's Svajūnas Božys was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Roy Bennet's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Svajūnas Božys was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. Protegéerna's Roy Bennet got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Simonas Balčys kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Roy Bennet recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 66 minutes, Roy Bennet managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Protegéerna's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roy Bennet was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Magnus Gustavsson hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Romualdas Podėris who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 69thth minute tested the skills of Georg Vallin when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Protegéerna made a substitution. Charlie Apelquist replaced Alexander Lundström. Rikard Lindgren kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Sven Skark's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Svajūnas Božys read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. After 86 played minutes Protegéerna got a freekick which was hit by Fredrik Billberg. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Romualdas Podėris in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Georg Vallin saved Protegéerna from getting behind. In the 90th minute, Sven Skark left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Protegéerna fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. The throw-in from Giedrius Žalnerauskas in the 95th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Protegéerna's Rikard Lindgren. Svajūnas Božys showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sven Skark, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. Protegéerna's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
