Sabri Fouquet showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gabriel Beșliu in the 5th minute of the match. A collision led to La Pointe Courte getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Yann Scott hit a great ball. When Thibaut Mazieres came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the La Pointe Courte fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Thibaut Mazieres couldn't finish the play. Petre Vătăşel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from John Holmes, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. The supporters of Tornadele Siret booed when La Pointe Courte was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. John Holmes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tornadele Siret were furious when Ferdinand Mihălțan was red carded, 18 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 19th match minute, Tornadele Siret was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ferdinand Mihălțan to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, La Pointe Courte's Tim Quantin got a free kick in the 21st minute. Thibaut Mazieres succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 25th playminute. Yann Scott fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Petre Vătăşel having to interfere. A collision led to Tornadele Siret getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Sergiu Răţescu hit a great ball. Petre Vătăşel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dominique Virapin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. La Pointe Courte's Sabri Fouquet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriel Beșliu in the 33rd minute of play. In the 34th match minute, Tornadele Siret was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iustin Iorda to maneuver through the defense. In the 35th play minute Dominique Virapin came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Petre Vătăşel. 2-0. Petre Vătăşel was a little too slow when John Holmes got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 39th minute. The score was now 3-0. After a rather tough play, La Pointe Courte's Thibaut Mazieres got a free kick in the 47th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Yann Scott made the kick off in the second half. John Holmes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Petre Vătăşel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dominique Virapin in the 61st minute of the match. La Pointe Courte's Patxi Seux was substituted for Tim Quantin. 67 minutes into the game, Martin Ciorăscu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tornadele Siret's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave La Pointe Courte the free kick. Martin Ciorăscu hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Petre Vătăşel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yann Scott, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Călin Paulică kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Yann Scott blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Petre Vătăşel having to make a save. La Pointe Courte's Mathys Guigon managed to work through Tornadele Siret's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Mathys Guigon dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Mathys Guigon hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Yann Scott recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 79th match minute, Tornadele Siret was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Călin Paulică to maneuver through the defense. In the 83rd match minute, Tornadele Siret was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alin Mutu to maneuver through the defense. For all the effort they put into the match, the Tornadele Siret players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for La Pointe Courte.
