After 3 minutes, Eike Schmidt made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. La Pointe Courte's Sabri Fouquet tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of La Pointe Courte booed when Sc Ajax Hirtenberg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joacim Hansson didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Tim Quantin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Sabri Fouquet showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eike Schmidt in the 8th minute of the match. In the 9th minute of the match, Dominique Virapin tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Christopher Benscheider saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Yann Scott could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Christopher Benscheider made a huge save. Sabri Fouquet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eike Schmidt, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. In the 16th minute, Sc Ajax Hirtenberg's Ruben Tepper seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Ruben Tepper the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Sc Ajax Hirtenberg protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Ruben Tepper had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 16 minutes into the game, one of Sc Ajax Hirtenberg:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Sc Ajax Hirtenberg's Christopher Benscheider played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thibaut Mazieres in the 23rd minute of play. Yann Scott fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christopher Benscheider having to interfere. Sabri Fouquet showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eike Schmidt in the 27th minute of the match. If John Holmes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 38 minutes into the match, La Pointe Courte's goal looked a bit too open when Eike Schmidt came free, but Sabri Fouquet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 42 minutes into the match, Dominique Virapin notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Sc Ajax Hirtenberg's Christopher Benscheider. Christopher Benscheider was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Christopher Benscheider showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dominique Virapin in the 56th minute of the match. 59 minutes into the game, Daniel Jung cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Sabri Fouquet was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Sabri Fouquet made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aldo Belo in the 67th minute. If Joacim Hansson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. La Pointe Courte made a substitution. Patxi Seux replaced Tim Quantin. In the 74th minute Thibaut Mazieres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christopher Benscheider saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nils Mört kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. 79 minutes into the match, Sc Ajax Hirtenberg's goal looked a bit too open when Mathys Guigon came free, but Christopher Benscheider reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 80 played minutes La Pointe Courte got a freekick which was hit by Éric Di Meo. After a rather tough play, La Pointe Courte's Éric Di Meo got a free kick in the 87th minute. Eike Schmidt's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sabri Fouquet read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mathys Guigon in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Christopher Benscheider saved Sc Ajax Hirtenberg from getting behind. After 94 played minutes La Pointe Courte got a freekick which was hit by Thibaut Mazieres. Eike Schmidt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sabri Fouquet having to interfere. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Sc Ajax Hirtenberg players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
