After a rather tough play, AUSTRAL BOWLING CLUB's Lance Aylwin got a free kick in the 22nd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Mafia Koniaka's Eugeniusz Kostka slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Alexander Quinnell. That made the score 2-0 after 28 minutes of play. Szymon Zecman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lewis Laycock in the 32nd minute of the match. Szymon Zecman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aaron Aylwin in the 42nd minute of play. In the 44th match minute, AUSTRAL BOWLING CLUB was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matthias Pike to maneuver through the defense. In the 46th minute Emil Tusk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexander Quinnell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Corder Kiel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Corder Kiel's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Szymon Zecman firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 84th minute of the match, Gregg Beer tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Szymon Zecman saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Jenkins Turner's late challenge caught a Mafia Koniaka's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jenkins Turner helped the player get up and apologised. AUSTRAL BOWLING CLUB may have spent more time on the ball, but Mafia Koniaka were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
