The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Barr Point booed when C.S. y D. GENERAL LAVALLE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angelo Crescencio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jamie Mayfield might have been able to make a better finish in the 8th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rene Tristan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jamie Mayfield ran back to his position shaking his head. Angelo Crescencio hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Jamie Mayfield kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cipriano Paulin in the 30th minute of play forced Barr Point's goalkeeper Jude Bonham to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 31st minute Gaston Matthew shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jude Bonham saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kev Granger kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Justo Guerrero in the 37th minute of play forced Barr Point's goalkeeper Jude Bonham to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jude Bonham took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gaston Matthew, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 42 minutes into the game, Den Newland was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Barr Point's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave C.S. y D. GENERAL LAVALLE the free kick. After 43 played minutes Barr Point got a freekick which was hit by Den Newland. In the 48th minute, Den Newland got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gaston Matthew stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Barr Point's goal looked a bit too open when Gaston Matthew came free, but Jude Bonham reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jude Bonham didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Victoriano Acosta went, in the 59th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. The supporters of C.S. y D. Rene Tristan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. The C.S. y D. GENERAL LAVALLE supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing C.S. y D. GENERAL LAVALLE would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
