Paul Gary took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edwin Hurtado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Tango en Miami FC getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Lance Willard hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Rafael Abella's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Paul Gary was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. If Rafael Abella had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kristopher Mansfield hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Rafael Abella received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Paul Gary tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lance Willard was the one to do the kick off. In the 57th minute, Rafael Abella got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Discípulos de Ayn Rand booed when Tango en Miami FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zachery Dillon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paul Gary made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafael Abella in the 59th minute of play. 60 minutes into the game, Tango en Miami FC's Robby Couch nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Casimiro Abad made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Discípulos de Ayn Rand's Casimiro Abad played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kristopher Mansfield in the 64th minute of play. Rafael Abella blasted a shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Paul Gary having to make a save. After 74 played minutes Tango en Miami FC got a freekick which was hit by Zachery Dillon. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafael Abella in the 75th minute of play forced Tango en Miami FC's goalkeeper Paul Gary to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lance Willard scored 2-1 in the 77th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Casimiro Abad, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Beturian Abel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paul Gary having to interfere. Edwin Hurtado took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Paul Gary. Paul Gary dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. After 92 minutes, Kristopher Mansfield mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tango en Miami FC and the Discípulos de Ayn Rand players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 92nd match minute, Tango en Miami FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kristopher Mansfield to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice moves Edwin Hurtado could shoot a difficult shot in the 95th minute, which Paul Gary however easily saved by the left post. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
