The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Joacim Söderberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Göran Wickander in the 4th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Göran Wickander managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pauliström's supporters rose to their feet, but Göran Wickander was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joacim Söderberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 8th minute, Knut Ahlkvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 15th minute Birger Klint shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joacim Söderberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 17 minutes into the game, Fredrik Karlsson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Joacim Söderberg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 23 minutes into the match, Göran Wickander dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Joacim Söderberg, 2-0. 27 minutes into the match, Arman Skog dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Joacim Söderberg, 3-0. Arman Skog kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Niclas Rydberg in the 36th minute of play forced Pauliström's goalkeeper Malcolm Wall to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 38th match minute, Pauliström was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arman Skog to maneuver through the defense. Malcolm Wall stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Niclas Rydberg's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. After 44 minutes, Niclas Rydberg made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. Pauliström's Malcolm Wall tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fredrik Karlsson was the one to do the kick off. When Niclas Rydberg came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Jonstorp FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Niclas Rydberg couldn't finish the play. Charlie Ström hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. 56 minutes into the match, Jonstorp FK's goal looked a bit too open when Göran Wickander came free, but Joacim Söderberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Simon Strand was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 57 minutes into the match. Fredrik Karlsson charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fredrik Karlsson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Fredrik Karlsson hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Jonstorp FK's Ola Isaksson got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 69th minute, Ola Isaksson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Malcolm Wall made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ola Isaksson in the 71st minute of play. 72 minutes into the match, Göran Wickander notched a goal, 5-1, to the right of Jonstorp FK's Joacim Söderberg. Joacim Söderberg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Fredrik Karlsson might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Joacim Söderberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fredrik Karlsson ran back to his position shaking his head. Göran Wickander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Göran Wickander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joacim Söderberg having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ola Isaksson got free with Malcolm Wall in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ola Isaksson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Malcolm Wall having to interfere. In the 96th minute, Robin Nordström got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Pauliström fans cheered their team off the field, for while Jonstorp FK had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
