In the 3rd minute Hortêncio Linhares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivar Espelid saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Roald Støylen scored 1-0 in the 4th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Basílio Maranhense, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpected shot in the 8th minute by Roald Støylen got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After 8 minutes, Stig Minge mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Skytta Toppidrettslag and the INTER FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Skytta Toppidrettslag's Stig Minge got a free kick in the 8th minute. In the 10th minute, Ole-Petter Vigre hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 13 minutes into the game, INTER FC's Emerson Cruz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ivar Espelid made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. A collision led to Skytta Toppidrettslag getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Erling Syversen hit a great ball. Ivar Espelid stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mandi Oca's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. Thor Elden's late challenge caught a INTER FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Thor Elden helped the player get up and apologised. 25 minutes into the match, Emerson Cruz notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Skytta Toppidrettslag's Ivar Espelid. Ivar Espelid was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ivar Espelid took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mandi Oca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Skytta Toppidrettslag defense, Emerson Cruz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ivar Espelid. The Skytta Toppidrettslag fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ivar Espelid should have stopped the shot. Roald Støylen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Basílio Maranhense having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emerson Cruz in the 35th minute of play forced Skytta Toppidrettslag's goalkeeper Ivar Espelid to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in INTER FC's zone, Ole-Petter Vigre stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Basílio Maranhense came out of the goal and Ole-Petter Vigre tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Léo Trigo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Skytta Toppidrettslag players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. INTER FC were winning 1-4.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hortêncio Linhares to make the kick off. Ivar Espelid made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Hortêncio Linhares sent off a good shot on target. In the 55th minute, INTER FC's Hortêncio Linhares dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-5. Ole-Petter Vigre sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 64th minute Emerson Cruz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivar Espelid saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 65 minutes into the match, Skytta Toppidrettslag's goalkeeper Ivar Espelid had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mandi Oca. Through an outstanding action, after 70 minutes, Ivar Espelid successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. When Hortêncio Linhares came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the INTER FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hortêncio Linhares couldn't finish the play. In the 74th minute, INTER FC's Emerson Cruz dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-6. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hortêncio Linhares in the 77th minute of play forced Skytta Toppidrettslag's goalkeeper Ivar Espelid to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Skytta Toppidrettslag's Ivar Espelid got control of the ball when Mandi Oca tried to sneak it across the goal line. Emerson Cruz scored 1-7 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ivar Espelid, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Hortêncio Linhares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. In the 91st minute, Léo Trigo fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Ivar Espelid, passed just outside the right post. After 93 minutes of play, INTER FC's Emerson Cruz made it 1-8 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ivar Espelid was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Emerson Cruz in the 97th minute of play forced Skytta Toppidrettslag's goalkeeper Ivar Espelid to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. INTER FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
