Radiohead Freaks Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Botafogo AP the free kick. In the 28th match minute, Radiohead Freaks Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bitxintxo Duran to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling André Luís Trigo in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Artzai Zurica prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Radiohead Freaks Club's Artzai Zurica played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eriberto Esteves in the 39th minute of play. The Botafogo AP fans' excitement grew in the 41st match minute when Botafogo AP's André Luís Trigo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Radiohead Freaks Club's Artzai Zurica played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eriberto Esteves in the 45th minute of play. After the first half Botafogo AP were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Donato Gonzalez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Artzai Zurica showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from André Luís Trigo, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. In the 62nd minute Donato Gonzalez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chiquinho Vasconcelos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 64 minutes, Reinaldo Llinares mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Radiohead Freaks Club and the Botafogo AP players grew even worse after the yellow card. Radiohead Freaks Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that André Luís Trigo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. Radiohead Freaks Club's defense didn't have a chance, in the 73rd minute, when Clóvis das Neves scored to the left of an out of position Artzai Zurica, making the score, 0-6. Botafogo AP made a substitution. Mané Souza replaced Clóvis das Neves. 78 minutes into the match, André Luís Trigo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Artzai Zurica, 0-7. With a couple of smart ball manuevers André Luís Trigo in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Artzai Zurica saved Radiohead Freaks Club from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Donato Gonzalez in the 82nd minute of play forced Botafogo AP's goalkeeper Chiquinho Vasconcelos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Prometeo Toledo charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Prometeo Toledo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Botafogo AP made a substitution. Humberto Maia replaced André Luís Trigo. In the 92nd minute Humberto Maia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Artzai Zurica saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 93rd minute, Humberto Maia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Humberto Maia did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-8 to the left of a surprised Artzai Zurica 97 minutes into the match. When the match was over Botafogo AP could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Radiohead Freaks Club throughout the match.
