The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the game, DALO S.C.'s Manolo Uquillas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ove Hake made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Raúl Mauleon took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ove Hake. Ove Hake dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Nils Liedholm IF's Ove Hake played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Norberto Trespuentes in the 12th minute of play. Urritz Martiniana lost his temper 14 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 14th match minute, DALO S.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Urritz Martiniana to maneuver through the defense. Nils Liedholm IF's Marc Juhlin shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 15th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Ferdi Top but with some difficulty. Manolo Uquillas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. DALO S.C.'s Norberto Trespuentes got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Norberto Trespuentes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. José-Manuel Bacardi took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ove Hake. Ove Hake dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Peter Aceituno recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ove Hake took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manolo Uquillas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Nils Liedholm IF defense, Norberto Trespuentes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ove Hake. The Nils Liedholm IF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ove Hake should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Nils Liedholm IF getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Norberto Trespuentes made a kick off. A collision led to Nils Liedholm IF getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Marc Juhlin hit a great ball. Edvin Bergkvist charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The audience thought a goal was coming when Peter Aceituno got free with Ove Hake in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Norberto Trespuentes came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the DALO S.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Norberto Trespuentes couldn't finish the play. 58 minutes into the match, Nils Liedholm IF's goal looked a bit too open when Norberto Trespuentes came free, but Ove Hake reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ove Hake made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Norberto Trespuentes in the 59th minute of play. Raúl Mauleon's late challenge caught a Nils Liedholm IF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Raúl Mauleon helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, DALO S.C.'s Raúl Mauleon got a free kick in the 63rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Norberto Trespuentes in the 70th minute of play forced Nils Liedholm IF's goalkeeper Ove Hake to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nils Liedholm IF's defense didn't have a chance, in the 84th minute, when Manolo Uquillas scored to the left of an out of position Ove Hake, making the score, 0-8. Ove Hake was a little too slow when Manolo Uquillas got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 87th minute. The score was now 0-9. 90 minutes into the match, Nils Liedholm IF's goalkeeper Ove Hake had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Peter Aceituno. DALO S.C.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Norberto Trespuentes in the 92nd minute. After taking down the ball on DALO S.C.'s corner Norberto Trespuentes fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ove Hake quite easily take care of the ball. Ove Hake made a fantastic save in the 97th minute, when José-Manuel Bacardi sent off a good shot on target.
