The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ingvar Hökkvist to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52ndth minute of the game Mingo Torrente who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hudiksvalls United's Jonny Almqvist was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Hudiksvalls United's Rikard Stenquist got a free kick in the 53rd minute. After 56 played minutes, Newells Old Boys's Amador Urti shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jonny Almqvist came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. Mingo Torrente's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonny Almqvist read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. When the match had gone on for 78 minutes, Mingo Torrente took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Jonny Almqvist to make any attempt to save it. Patric Melin hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. In the 84th minute of the match, Mingo Torrente tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jonny Almqvist saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. If Emanuel Llorienzo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Patric Melin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Guillermo Ovando had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Hudiksvalls United lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
