After 8 played minutes Mali i Thatë FC got a freekick which was hit by Pajtim Tepelena. 15 minutes into the match, Lirim Osja notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Newells Old Boys's Miguel Sancho. Miguel Sancho was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience was convinced that Eneid Ilo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Miguel Sancho was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. In the 24th minute, Eliseo Vela hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 26 minutes, Lirim Osja made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Newells Old Boys's Miguel Sancho tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eneid Ilo to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Eneid Ilo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eneid Ilo in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Miguel Sancho saved Newells Old Boys from getting behind. Nestor Tabb charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nestor Tabb the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 55 played minutes Newells Old Boys got a freekick which was hit by Nestor Tabb. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mingo Torrente in the 61st minute of play forced Mali i Thatë FC's goalkeeper Drini Kapaj to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 62nd minute, Guillermo Ovando hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lirim Osja's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 66thth minute, Miguel Sancho skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 68 minutes of play, Mali i Thatë FC's Lirim Osja made it 0-9 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Miguel Sancho was left in no man's land by his defense there! Emanuel Llorienzo kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. In the 71st minute, Mali i Thatë FC's Eneid Ilo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Miguel Sancho. Miguel Sancho yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-10. The supporters of Mali i Thatë FC booed when Newells Old Boys was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mingo Torrente didn't get a good kick on the ball. 77 minutes into the match, Mali i Thatë FC's goal looked a bit too open when Guillermo Ovando came free, but Drini Kapaj reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Mali i Thatë FC's Elion Fazliu got a free kick in the 80th minute. Eneid Ilo struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Miguel Sancho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mali i Thatë FC. 88 minutes into the game, Guillermo Ovando cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-10. Drini Kapaj was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Newells Old Boys's Miguel Sancho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Newells Old Boys from getting a goal against them. Mali i Thatë FC played a much better game than Newells Old Boys and deserved their victory. The Newells Old Boys players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
