The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. AC Mayonnaise's Johannes Häll played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mário de Azevedo in the 6th minute of play. After a rather tough play, S.E. Pindorama Eagles's Pedrinho Porto got a free kick in the 8th minute. Sune Lidberg made in the 12th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Josef Gustavsson immediately put the ball in play. The supporters of AC Mayonnaise booed when S.E. Pindorama Eagles was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Virgílio Cunha didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 16th match minute, AC Mayonnaise was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfons Sundberg to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to AC Mayonnaise getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Alfons Sundberg hit a great ball. Johannes Häll showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mário de Azevedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. A collision led to S.E. Pindorama Eagles getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Virgílio Cunha hit a great ball. Johannes Häll showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mário de Azevedo in the 27th minute of the match. Sune Lidberg kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Sune Lidberg made in the 35th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Josef Gustavsson. The supporters of AC Mayonnaise booed when S.E. Pindorama Eagles was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mário de Azevedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mário de Azevedo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Anselmo Castro fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored S.E. Pindorama Eagles's protests and gave Anselmo Castro a yellow card for diving instead. Anselmo Castro hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Mário de Azevedo made the kick off in the second half. Johannes Häll took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mário de Azevedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 55th match minute, S.E. Pindorama Eagles was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Virgílio Cunha to maneuver through the defense. Anselmo Castro kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Mário de Azevedo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Johannes Häll came out and tried to block the shot, but Mário de Azevedo slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 67th minute. In the 82nd minute, Aga Cuarto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match clock showed 90 minutes, the score became 2-3 when Mário de Azevedo sped through AC Mayonnaise's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Johannes Häll. If Mário de Azevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aga Cuarto kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. The S.E. Pindorama Eagles supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing S.E. Pindorama Eagles would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
