Spectators: 7647 (Terracing: 5737, Seating: 1758, VIP seats: 152) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Charles Arantes started the match with the kick off. The supporters of Portuguesa booed when Furia Calamar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aquiles Domeka didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 6th minute Nacho Vázquez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giovani de Amaral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Betinho Severo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Simon Beltran tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 14 minutes into the match, Furia Calamar's goal looked a bit too open when Betinho Severo came free, but Simon Beltran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 15 played minutes Furia Calamar got a freekick which was hit by Aquiles Domeka. Yuri de Queiroz lost his temper 17 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ambrosio Herena got free with Giovani de Amaral in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 26th minute of the match Furia Calamar got a corner. Portuguesa's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Nacho Vázquez ran over to the corner to take the kick. After a rather tough play, Furia Calamar's Horacio Behe got a free kick in the 28th minute. The audience was convinced that Afonsinho Mattos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Simon Beltran was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. Giovani de Amaral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nacho Vázquez in the 42nd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Portuguesa's Sidnei Faria got a free kick in the 42nd minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Camilo Marin to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Camilo Marin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Giovani de Amaral was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 54 minutes into the match, Furia Calamar's goalkeeper Simon Beltran had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sidnei Faria. Portuguesa were awarded a corner in the 96th minute after Furia Calamar's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jano Berger took the corner. The corner led to Portuguesa's Germano Matorin getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Furia Calamar were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
