After a rather tough play, Atletico Aragua FC's Cordarin Alberete got a free kick in the 6th minute. Boni Arregui made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfredo Fernandes in the 7th minute of play. 8 minutes had been played when some careless play by Atletico Aragua FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Durvalino Sarmento was slow to take the kick. During this time REAL RIO CRVG's players had a chance to rest. The corner led REAL RIO CRVG's Durvalino Sarmento to fire away a dangerous shot which Boni Arregui despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Boni Arregui made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gláuber Cardozo in the 9th minute of play. Remigio Cerezo hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Atletico Aragua FC's Juaneizu Abellaneda got a free kick in the 12th minute. After recieving a nice pass, REAL RIO CRVG's Durvalino Sarmento tried to score from far away in the 13th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Alfredo Fernandes took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Boni Arregui. Boni Arregui dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 19 minutes into the game, Pedrão Souza was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. REAL RIO CRVG's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Atletico Aragua FC the free kick. Alfredo Fernandes took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Boni Arregui. Boni Arregui dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. The supporters of REAL RIO CRVG booed when Atletico Aragua FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Blas Terres didn't get a good kick on the ball. Atletico Aragua FC's Boni Arregui played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedrão Souza in the 25th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gláuber Cardozo in the 27th minute of play forced Atletico Aragua FC's goalkeeper Boni Arregui to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Atletico Aragua FC's Gentza Natos got a free kick in the 27th minute. In the 28th minute Pedrão Souza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Boni Arregui saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Gláuber Cardozo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 32 minutes into the match, Atletico Aragua FC's goal looked a bit too open when Pedrão Souza came free, but Boni Arregui reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Boni Arregui took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedrão Souza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Boni Arregui made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gláuber Cardozo in the 35th minute of play. In the 36th minute, Pedrão Souza made a precise shot to the right of Boni Arregui. Atletico Aragua FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. The attack was good, but when Pedrão Souza in the 39th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. When REAL RIO CRVG's Alfredo Fernandes in the 42nd minute got a chance for a shot 42nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Atletico Aragua FC's goalie prevented a goal. After some careless play in the Atletico Aragua FC defense, Gláuber Cardozo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Boni Arregui. The Atletico Aragua FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Boni Arregui should have stopped the shot.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Blas Terres to make the kick off. Boni Arregui was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Pedrão Souza showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-5 in the 56 minute of play. Boni Arregui made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Gláuber Cardozo sent off a good shot on target. Alfredo Fernandes might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Boni Arregui. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alfredo Fernandes ran back to his position shaking his head. Boni Arregui was a little too slow when Gláuber Cardozo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 66th minute. The score was now 0-6. 70 minutes into the game, REAL RIO CRVG's Pedrão Souza nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Boni Arregui made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-7. Boni Arregui was out of position in the 79 minute of play, and Gláuber Cardozo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Gláuber Cardozo really showed his touch with that goal: 0-8. 83 minutes into the match, Atletico Aragua FC's goalkeeper Boni Arregui had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pedrão Souza. With a little luck, Atletico Aragua FC's Boni Arregui got control of the ball when Pedrão Souza tried to sneak it across the goal line. Pedrão Souza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Boni Arregui having to interfere. The supporters of REAL RIO CRVG booed when Atletico Aragua FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Remigio Cerezo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cordarin Alberete kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. REAL RIO CRVG played a much better game than Atletico Aragua FC and deserved their victory. The Atletico Aragua FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
