The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Percival Prestes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Omar Abecia, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. 7 minutes into the match, REAL RIO CRVG's goal looked a bit too open when Fulgencio Natal came free, but Percival Prestes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 12 minutes, Pedrão Souza mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the REAL RIO CRVG and the Almeyra F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. Pedrão Souza kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pedrão Souza got free with Froilan Llorian in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Percival Prestes came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Almeyra F.C.'s Fulgencio Natal. But to his dismay, Fulgencio Natal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Gláuber Cardozo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Froilan Llorian made a huge save. 25 minutes into the match, Omar Abecia had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Percival Prestes. REAL RIO CRVG's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Omar Abecia was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Gláuber Cardozo managed to get in a good position for a shot. REAL RIO CRVG's supporters rose to their feet, but Gláuber Cardozo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Froilan Llorian breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 32 minutes into the match, REAL RIO CRVG's goal looked a bit too open when Fulgencio Natal came free, but Percival Prestes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Percival Prestes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celedonio Xabat in the 45th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Omar Abecia to make the kick off. Celedonio Xabat received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Percival Prestes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alfredo Fernandes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Froilan Llorian having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alfredo Fernandes in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Froilan Llorian prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Froilan Llorian showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Natã Nogueira in the 76th minute of the match. Omar Abecia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Almeyra F.C.'s Froilan Llorian played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gláuber Cardozo in the 79th minute of play. After 81 played minutes Almeyra F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Fulgencio Natal. In the 84th minute Alfredo Fernandes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Froilan Llorian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Celedonio Xabat kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. REAL RIO CRVG succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Almeyra F.C. had controlled the match.
