Spectators: 7545 (Terracing: 5660, Seating: 1735, VIP seats: 150) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Reynaldo Rios kicked off to start the match. After 2 played minutes REAL VASCO RIO got a freekick which was hit by Ricardo Cosme. In the 8th minute, Matias Lidon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 9th minute, Alfredo Fernandes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The REAL VASCO RIO fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. In the 12th minute, Natã Nogueira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pedrão Souza got free with Octavio Raymond in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Segundo Delfino in the 22nd minute of play forced REAL VASCO RIO's goalkeeper Percival Prestes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 23 minutes of play, REAL VASCO RIO's Pedrão Souza made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Octavio Raymond was left in no man's land by his defense there! Percival Prestes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Segundo Delfino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Percival Prestes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Segundo Delfino in the 34th minute of the match. Natã Nogueira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Octavio Raymond made a huge save. Percival Prestes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Segundo Delfino in the 43rd minute of play. Reynaldo Rios received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Percival Prestes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pedrão Souza stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Unidad de Matanza's Segundo Delfino got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of REAL VASCO RIO booed when Unidad de Matanza was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elvio Urtungo didn't get a good kick on the ball. 61 minutes into the match, REAL VASCO RIO's Durvalino Sarmento sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Octavio Raymond narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Unidad de Matanza booed when REAL VASCO RIO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Natã Nogueira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Percival Prestes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Segundo Delfino in the 65th minute of play. Durvalino Sarmento charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Durvalino Sarmento the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A hard shot by Elvio Urtungo from long distance, 72 minutes into the match, got Percival Prestes's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 83rd minute, Alfredo Fernandes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The REAL VASCO RIO fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. Octavio Raymond made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Natã Nogueira in the 86th minute of play. Reynaldo Rios might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Percival Prestes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Reynaldo Rios ran back to his position shaking his head. Alfredo Fernandes took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Octavio Raymond. Octavio Raymond dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. In the 96th minute, Alfredo Fernandes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. REAL VASCO RIO's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
