After 19 minutes of play Los Trip's Sixto Frichoso was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 19th match minute, Los Trip was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sixto Frichoso to maneuver through the defense. Carlos Xabier came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Montesclarense E.C.'s Wiliam Damião. But to his dismay, Wiliam Damião quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Isaias Matxin kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. In the last second Carlos Xabier throw himself and got hold of the ball when Wiliam Damião in the 32ndth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wiliam Damião in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carlos Xabier prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Cristian Sena fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Montesclarense E.C.'s protests and gave Cristian Sena a yellow card for diving instead. After 36 played minutes Montesclarense E.C. got a freekick which was hit by Cristian Sena. Fellipe dos Santos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carlos Xabier made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Durval Tinoco sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Los Trip's Carlos Xabier got control of the ball when Wiliam Damião tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 45th minute, Gregorio Ostots hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Montesclarense E.C.'s Cristian Sena shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 46th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Carlos Xabier but with some difficulty. In the 48thth minute of the game Wiliam Damião who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Los Trip's Carlos Xabier was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Roman Liher to strike the kick off in the second half. Roman Liher sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Fellipe dos Santos kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. The supporters of Los Trip booed when Montesclarense E.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bruninho Paraense didn't get a good kick on the ball. Isaias Matxin was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 62nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. If Wiliam Damião had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fellipe dos Santos in the 67th minute of play forced Los Trip's goalkeeper Carlos Xabier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Montesclarense E.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Wiliam Damião was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Isaias Matxin fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Los Trip's protests and gave Isaias Matxin a yellow card for diving instead. In the 89th minute, Isaias Matxin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wiliam Damião in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carlos Xabier saved Los Trip from getting behind. Carlos Xabier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wiliam Damião, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Los Trip's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
