After 13 minutes of play, Montesclarense E.C.'s Wiliam Damião made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pascual Virila was left in no man's land by his defense there! Wiliam Damião received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Pascual Virila tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 31st minute, Reynaldo Gartzi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Isidoro Bazil kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. If Wiliam Damião had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 36th minute Fellipe dos Santos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pascual Virila saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆'s Pascual Virila played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wiliam Damião in the 41st minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Feliberto Ilazki during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 42nd match minute, ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Feliberto Ilazki to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆'s Feliberto Ilazki got a free kick in the 48th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jonathan Bernal to make the kick off. Tostão Cardoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonathan Bernal, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. In the 55th minute, Montesclarense E.C.'s Marcos Figueiredo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. When Dario Harkaitz fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆'s protests and gave Dario Harkaitz a yellow card for diving instead. In the 66th minute, Dario Harkaitz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 68thth minute of the game Wiliam Damião who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆'s Pascual Virila was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jonathan Bernal hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. The supporters of Montesclarense E.C. booed when ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan Bernal didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Wiliam Damião had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆'s zone, Wiliam Damião stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pascual Virila came out of the goal and Wiliam Damião tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pascual Virila was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Durval Tinoco. A collision led to ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆ getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Fulgencio Txanton hit a great ball. Pascual Virila didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Wiliam Damião went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Montesclarense E.C.'s players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
