A collision led to Deportivo Messina getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Aaron Beturian hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hamílton Proença in the 27th minute of play forced Deportivo Messina's goalkeeper Javier Roderigo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
